The owner was very nice. Because we had an extra person, he prepared a floor mat. However, when we arrived, it wasn't comfortable to sleep on. The next day, he took a boat to Semporna and bought a mattress. He even asked us what we liked to eat and was very welcoming. He also took us snorkeling and provided lunch and water. Overall, it was a great value for money. I'd definitely stay here again.

What a FABULOUS place! The host was genuine and served DELICIOUS food! They took us for snorkeling and showed us the island. We joined them to see the school, the fisherman and our kids played with the kids on the island. We got closer to the "real" life on the island. Memories for life. Hope to be back someday.

I have just had a magnificent stay in paradise with my 14yr old daughter at Mabul with thanks to Reed, Nor and their fabulous staff. These guys assisted with all planning of our trip here from pick up at Sempona and transfers to Tawau airport. Mostly however l am absolutely grateful that they were able to organise our dive permits and a dive operator to enable diving at Sipidan as it's next to impossible to stay on Mabul at a home stay and dive here as all permits are allocated to resorts. The diving was first class but for me also the night snorkeling and diving and snorkeling around Mabul was equally as interesting. Staying at Turtle Lodge you have access to all snorkeling equipment as well as local knowledge to be able to really enjoy and explore the area. The facilities at home are super comfortable. I was concerned about no aircon but being over the water with powerful fans it wasn't a problem at all. The endless food was incredible. This was a fabulous holiday experience!

We had an amazing few days here! If you enjoy snorkeling, this is the perfect place to visit. Reed made our holiday truly delightful. The house is built over the water, with a spacious living room that opens directly to the sea, allowing the kids to have a fantastic time right at ourdoorstep. Most of the time, Reed took us out for snorkeling trips,and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The routes heplanned were always spot-on, offering unique experiences each time. For our final outing, he even arranged a fishing trip, which the kids absolutely loved. Reed is also an excellent cook—his meals were delicious and satisfying. We highly recommend this place for an unforgettable getaway!

Total and complete standout experience! Nor, Reed, their son, and their employees went above and beyond to make our stay not just comfortable but unforgettable. Amazing food and amazing experiences. We highly recommend doing the secret snorkel spot with Reed! We've snorkeled in some amazing places in the world, but that one was unlike anything we'd ever seen. We were blown away by every other place he took us to! Our kids spent a couple hours each day swinging and jumping off the deck into the water. We will never forget our time on Mabul at Turtle Garden Lodge. Highly recommend!
